Hey I’m organsing an outdoor conference and I’d love for you to be a part of it. I’m new to the outdoors and have enjoyed every moment whilst learning lots on my journey. I’ve been lucky enough to have been given guidance off those who’ve been doing it much longer than me but I’ve still a long way to go just like many outdoor enthusiasts. I’m putting this conference together to bring a large outdoor community, of all levels of knowledge together whilst raising some money for a great and worthwhile cause which is Mountain Rescue.

I’ve fortunately never had to call on them but these life savers work 24/7 no matter the weather and if it hadn’t been for them, some of my friends wouldn’t be here today. I’m searching for as many people to get involved with this event whether that’s from attending, promoting, speaking, sponsoring and or providing goodies for the charity raffle. I hope you’ll help me deliver a memorable outdoor conference and a first of its kind (so it seems)!

Oh and there’s going to be some fun outdoor type games too but all will be revealed on the day…

Opportunities include:

Whether you’re an organisation, business or individual who’d like to share their knowledge on:

  • Outdoor safety
  • Interesting outdoor related stories
  • Equipment
  • Survival tips
  • Wild camping tips
  • Outdoor photography tips
  • Fixing / looking after equipments: bikes, kayaks, canoes
  • Maps / navigation tips
  • Preserving the environment
  • First Aid demonstrations
  • Outdoor nutrition / health
  • And anything else you think could and would help the outdoors community.

I’m keen hear from outdoor related companies or individuals who would be interested in sponsoring the event for donation fee ( there are all different types of sponsorship levels so please contact me directly to talkabout this.)

This event will be promoted through radio, magazines, blogs and hopefully a press release in local papers so there’s a lot of opportunity for exposure.

If you can’t help with none of the above then please consider a small donations on my Just Giving Page.

Raffles are a great way to raise money and so I’m looking for some awesome prizes for it. If you’ve got anything like experience days, taster sessions and/or discounts to add to the raffle then this will very much be appreciated.

Last but not least, if you can help in anyway even if it’s promoting the event on Twitter with the hashtag #intothewild sharing the donation pages , writing a blog post, listing it on your site or forwarding it on to those who you’d think would benefit, I’d be really grateful.
